UW Health Sciences Student Interprofessional Leadership Conference
Two day conference (Sept 10-11, 2005) on the Seattle campus for UW Health Sciences students exploring issues of leadership around community health and service learning. See below for information on leadership in medical education, sponsor information, and conference registration.
- Center for Health Sciences Interprofessional Education Center to advance interprofessional collaboration within the Health Sciences in promotion of individual and public health. In addition to sponsoring this leadership conference, the Center provides support to several University of Washington health sciences student service-learning projects including the ARC and Students in the Community (SITC).
- Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine National organization supporting health promotion and disease prevention educators and researchers. Through the Paul Ambrose Health Promotion Student Leadership Symposium, the ATPM has assisted with the development of this leadership conference.
- Phi Lambda Sigma Dedicated to supporting pharmacy leadership commitment by recognizing leaders and fostering leadership development. Phi Lambda Sigma has given generous financial support for the conference.
- Alpha Omega Alpha Honor medical society promoting leaders in medicine.
- American Medical Student Association Committed to improving health care and healthcare delivery to all people, promoting active improvement in medical education, and involving its members in the social, moral and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine. - NIH Manuscript Submission System: Third Party Option As of July 6th, the NIH Manuscript Submission (NIHMS) system (http://nihms.nih.gov) accepts submissions from users who have an NIH MyNCBI account.. This account will enable "third parties" (e.g., administrative personnel, graduate students, etc.), with permission from the author, to deposit NIH-funded manuscripts into PubMed Central (PMC).
