- Bullying Report: How Are Washington State Schools Doing? Final report, December 2003. Sponsored by the Washington State PTA and the the Safe Schools Coalition.
The Washington State Anti-Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) Act of 2002 took effect on August 1, 2003. This final report examines the variety and scope of anti-bullying policies and procedures that school districts in the state have adopted. 92%, or 156 of the school districts that submitted policies, prohibit all 8 of the categories included in the law: race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, and mental or physical disability.
