After Hours Access for Clinical Emergencies

After hours access to the Health Sciences Library for clinical emergencies is limited to UWMC or HMC staff needing information for immediate patient care.

For emergency access during hours the library is not open, call the University Police at 206-543-9331 and ask them to radio the HSB security guard on duty. The guard will meet you at a predetermined location and admit you to the library upon presentation of your valid UW identification. See the map of after hours building entrances.

Please note that a large percentage of the journal collection is available via the web on HealthLinks and may be accessed from your computer without coming into the library. Electronic journals, textbooks, and databases can be accessed from the navigation bar on the left side of your screen.
