Adopt-A-Book
Resource budget shortfalls have limited the ability of the HSL to
purchase new books. Our Adopt-A-Book program has been initiated to
provide you the opportunity to directly support the HSL. Details of
this new program and a list of titles available for adoption are at

Issue
The latest issue of the HSL's newsletter has just been released. It is
available in hardcopy and on the web /hsl/bnb/volume14/spr02.pdf
Books & Bytes is a product of the Health Sciences Libraries for the
faculty, staff and students in the Health Sciences. This issue has six
pages of a wide range of articles, UWired Health Sciences Debuts;
Finding the Sciences Behind the Headlines; Improving Search Results;
Gifts Expand a Collection, plus several other timely pieces.
Grant Writing Workshop: A
Two-Part Workshop, Sept. 4 & 11, 5:30-8pm
It is not too early to sign up for this workshop as attendance is
limited to 25 and it is filling up fast. Registration is at /rfs/forms/workshop.html
Janet Rasey, Ph.D., Director, Research Funding Service is teaching this
workshop which is directed towards those new to grant writing or who
have had a proposal rejected. A comparison of proposals which were
funded and some which were not funded will be discussed.
