Donate a Book-You'll Feel
Great!
The Health Sciences Libraries would love to receive a book donation
from you. Do you receive review copies? Do you have other
newer books you find you are not using? The HSL could use your
help as our resources budget is very stressed this biennium. We
will be extremely limited in our ability to purchase new books so your
donation will have a positive effect on our collection. Your
donation will have a bookplate placed in it indicating you are the
donor. Please contact Colleen Weum, weum@u.washington.edu to answer your
questions.
We also graciously accept your financial gifts. Such gifts
permit us to purchase items essential in managing a state-of-the-art
health sciences library. An online form at:
https://secure.gifts.washington.edu/common/
gift.asp?source_typ=2&source=EID will quickly take your donor
information. You may also contact Sherrilynne Fuller, Director,
at (206) 543-5531 to discuss financial gift opportunities. Thank
you!
Password Request Form for
Electronic Journals
Have you ever been prompted with a "Password Required" when trying to
access an e-journal such as NEJM? Now there is an easy form to
use to request journal passwords for the handful of journals on
HealthLinks requiring them. You can also find this form via the
HealthLinks Journals page, /journals/ as the
second selection, "Password Request Form Request a Remote Connection
Password." Click on this and it takes you to the form. This
new feature should streamline your request for e-journal passwords.
