New England Journal of Medicine - online access change
******************************************************************
As of October 1, 2001, the NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE'S institutional
online access policy will change. Institutional online access to NEJM
will be restricted to five (5) specific on-site computers for each print
subscription the institution holds. This policy change by NEJM is
restrictive and not in keeping with our philosophy to provide service to
our customers at their desktop. Consequently, as of October 1, 2001, the
Health Sciences Libraries will no longer provide online access to NEJM. We
sincerely regret this lack of service to our customers. You may contact
NEJM at licensing@nejm.org or Eileen Welch, Director, Online Development,
NEJM directly at 781-434-7040. If you have any questions or comments for
HSL, please contact Nanette Welton at nwelton@u.washington.edu

WELCOME TO THE LIBRARY

Every month the front page of our HealthLinks, the Health Sciences
Libraries website, features a different topic. Our September focus is
welcoming you back with some getting started tips to getting connected to
our library resources. If you haven't activated your library card now is
the time to do so and helpful instructions on how to do this are given.
Did you know you have a library liaison to your department or area? This
link is also a part of our welcome back message so check it out to find
out who your liaison is and what the liaison can do for you. If you
aren't familiar with HealthLinks, take a moment to peruse, you will find
quite an array of information at your fingertips. Welcome Back!
