Storage Facility at the HSL
***************************
The Health Sciences Library has been fortunate to obtain onsite
storage
for some parts of our burgeoning collection. We are in the process
of
installing compact shelving in this area and will be moving some
selected
materials to it over the course of this Summer. In preparation for
this
move volumes which are going to this facility are being labeled
"Storage"
on their bindings. This material will be identified in the UWL
Online
Catalog with the phrase, "Request from HSL storage". Retrieval from
this
area is scheduled for twice a day, as it is now from our other
onsite
storage area.
Life after the University
*************************
Are you leaving the University and wonder about how to access
health
sciences resources? Since many of the resources on HealthLinks;
/
are restricted to use by current UW faculty, staff and students,
the
following web page will offer a variety of unrestricted websites in
order
to find similar information;
/help/LifeAfterU.html
You will find links to Database searching; Drug reference;
Evidence-based
medicine and guidelines; Health news/current awareness; Patient
education;
Textbooks and several other useful sources.
In addition, alumni can continue to use many of the library
resources
such as; onsite borrowing privileges, online resources, quick
reference
assistance, and in-depth service and article retrieval, after
graduation
Detailed information is available at;
