Loansome Doc allows users to order copies of articles after searching PubMed. Non-UW affiliates within the U.S. and Canada, including UW alumni, should use the instructions below. Separate instructions are available for University of Washington students, staff, and faculty and non-UW affiliates outside the U.S. and Canada.
To ensure prompt processing of your document requests, it is crucial that you read the following information completely and follow all instructions accurately to complete the Loansome Doc registration process:
- Fees are associated with ordering. For more information about fees, see the price list.
- You must identify yourself as a Non-Affiliate. Use the Comment to Library field to give your deposit account number, billing reference numbers or any other special notes. If no billing information is given, you will be invoiced monthly.
- The Authorization Code for the University of Washington Health Sciences Libraries is WAUWAS.
- You must select a Max Cost per Article because prices vary depending on availability. For items we do not own the average cost is $50.00; if your Max Cost is below this amount your requests may be cancelled. Prices can range from $14.00 to $70.00. We will cancel all requests that are below our minimum rate of $14.00.
- Your Loansome Doc requests will be imported into our request management database, ILLiad. You will be sent an email with your ILLiad account login and password which you will use to access the articles you ordered. Note: This login is different than your Loansome Doc login.
