Learning Commons Services

Mission: Support the educational missions of the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health
Location: Health Sciences Library on the 3rd floor of the T Wing of the Health Sciences Building
Funding: Many Learning Commons facilities are supported by the Student Technology Fee

teach with multimedia and networked computer resources

Students can do hands-on computer work

Computer Lab

  • 70 drop-in computers (PCs and Macs) and UW email stations
  • Access to the Microlab is limited to UW Health Sciences students, faculty, and staff.
 

Study Rooms

Small group study rooms are available on both the second and third floor.

Reserves

Course reserves include books, reprints, electronic readings and exams, software, videotapes, course web sites and other materials necessary for the curriculum.

Laptop Ports

Laptop ports are available in all group study rooms except T223, as well as on the pillar near the third floor entrance to the Learning Commons and in the Laptop and Cell Phone Zone on the second floor.

Anatomical Models

Anatomical models of the human body, including a complete skeleton, are available for individual and group study.

Audiovisual Equipment

VCRs, slide projectors and viewers, audio cassette players, & headphones
