Instructions for Windows XP

1. Click the Start button and select Printers and Faxes

2. Select Add a printer from Printer Tasks (left side of screen). Click Next

3. In the Add Printer Wizard, select a network printer, or a printer attached to

another computer. Click Next.

4. Click Connect to this printer… and type \\barton.hslib.washington.edu\wireless.

Then click Next.

5. At the login screen, type in your UW NetID as follows: NETID\<UW NetID>

(where <UW NetID> is your actual UW NetID). On the next line, type in your

UW NetID password. You may check the box "Remember my password" if you

do not want to enter it next time you want to connect to the wireless queue.

6. If this is the first time connecting to the wireless printing queue, you will see a pop-up box

informing you printer drivers will be installed to use this service. Click Yes to continue.

7. Check either Yes or No to set this printer as your default. Click Next to Continue.

8. Completing the Add Printer Wizard. Click Finish to continue.

9. You should now have a printer queue called Wireless on barton.hslib.washington.edu.
