Wireless printing in the Health Science Libraries - October 9, 2007
Instructions for Windows Vista
1. Click the Start button and select Control Panel. Click the Printer option under Hardware and Sound.

2. Select Add a printer near top of screen. Click Next.

3. In the Add A Printer screen, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.
Click Next.
4. Click The printer that I want isn’t listed. Then click Next.
5. Click Select a shared printer by name and type in the following:
\\barton.hslib.washington.edu\wireless. Click Next to continue.
6. At the login screen, type in your UW NetID as follows: NETID\<UW NetID>
(where <UW NetID> is your actual UW NetID). On the next line, type in your
UW NetID password. You may check the box "Remember my password" if you
do not want to enter it next time you want to connect to the wireless queue.

7. If this is the first time connecting to the wireless printing queue, you will see a pop-up
box informing you printer drivers will be installed to use this service.
Click Install Driver to continue.

8. Check box if you want to set this printer as your default. Click Next to Continue.
9. Completing the Add Printer Wizard. Click Finish to continue.
There is no need to print a test page.

10. You should now see a printer called wireless on barton in your list of printer queues.
