INTERVENTION PROCESS
Any intervention process involves goal setting, intervention planning,
and information gathering. In order to proceed, you must have some
knowledge of the:
- Client and problem
- Practice area (children & youth, gerontology, health, mental health,
multiethnic practice)
- Interventions available and how to apply them
How do you go about finding information on interventions appropriate for
your client?
Through research. Research can help you locate clinical practices
already established in the literature. The following steps walk
you through the process of finding and evaluating interventions. Follow
along and try out some of the searches with your own case examples.
