A Dickensian look at the Health Sciences Library and Information Center (HSLIC)

• HSLIC Policy Re. Computers in its Facilities (1978)
  "The Libraries views the placement of instructional computer terminals in some of its facilities on a space available basis as appropriate. The hours of opening in most instances would make access to the computers easy.
  The Libraries' primary responsibilities take precendence over instructional computer activities, however, so that when the housing of materials and user seats requires it, the computers will have to be displaced"

• Connect to UW Restricted Resources from Off-Campus
  Using the proxy service or UWICK.
• Ethernet Laptop Ports
  Available in all library study rooms and in the 2^nd floor laptop zone.
• Connect to the UW Wireless Network
  The Health Sciences Library has several wireless access points. UW NetID required to connect to off-campus sites. Part of the UW Wireless Network.
• Student Technology Fee Support for the Learning Commons
  Important support for the Learning Commons has been provided by the Student Technology Fee.
