Accesskeys/Hotkeys
The following accesskeys are attached to links which, when activated, will take your browser to the specified location:
- H: Go directly to the HealthLinks home page
- S: Go directly to the search box
Information about the ACCESSKEY attribute is available in the following article: “Improving accessibility with accesskey in HTML forms and links.”
The HealthLinks team is working to create an accessible site for all of our users. To this end, we are striving to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set by the World Wide Web Consortium.
While many of our pages meet the “Double-A” conformance level according to WCAG 1.0, some of our pages fail to meet the “A” conformance level. For this reason, we have decided not to include any conformance level notifications until all of our pages have met the requirements for level “A.”
Standards
The HealthLinks site uses XHTML 1.0 Transitional for markup and CSS for presentation.
Resizing Text
Most of the text on the HealthLinks pages is resizeable. In most modern browsers, users should be able to adjust the size of the text by going to the "View" menu of the browser and selecting the options for text size adjustments.
Browser Support
The HealthLinks site is designed to display content in all browsers and all operating systems. The style of the site, however—typography, colors, layout—is designed to work with browsers that understand web standards. For this reason, users of Netscape 6 and below, Internet Explorer 5 and below, Opera 7 and below, and other similar browsers may not be able to see the intended design, presentation, and layout.
