HealthLinks Tools for Browsers

These tools are aimed at users of the Health Sciences Libraries' information resources. They embed into your browser, and aim to integrate available resources and services into your research workflow. Each item below contains: a description of the tool, including what benefits the tool has to offer; and, step-by-step installation instructions

There is also a set of HealthLinks Tools for Websites available.

Proxy Bookmarklet

When you are off-campus and you are trying to look at an information resource licensed by the UW libraries, press this bookmarklet to authenticate yourself to the UW Library's proxy service.

Firefox users

Right-click this link: Proxyme and select "Bookmark this Link..."

Internet Explorer Users

Right-click this link: Proxyme and select "Add to Favorites...".
Click "Yes" when you are prompted with a security alert.

HealthLinks Toolbar for Firefox

The Firefox HealthLinks Toolbar is now available.

UnProxy Bookmarklet

If you are currently using the UW Library's proxy service, but want to get out of "proxy space", then just click this bookmark.

Firefox Users

Right-click this link: unProxyme and select "Bookmark this Link..."

Internet Explorer Users:

Right-click this link: unProxyme and select "Add to Favorites...".
Click "Yes" when you are prompted with a security alert.

Firefox SearchEngine Additions

If you are using the Firefox web browser you can add HealthLinks as a search engine directly within your browser by clicking on the links below:

Search HealthLinks Journals Bookmarklet

This bookmark presents the user with a prompt to directly search HealthLinks journals.
